The Sunset Murals

Two office murals at Campos EPC in San Diego, CA. 21’x9’ & 18’x10’. 2025

One of my favorite projects

Campaign Type: Corporate Office Mural | Two-Wall Installation

The Goal: Bring Life Indoors
This mural was created for a newly renovated office in San Diego, designed to bring warmth, energy, and a sense of place to the space. Inspired by other office murals the company had commissioned across the country, the goal was to create a scene that felt iconic to San Diego: bright, playful, and instantly engaging for employees and visitors.

My Role: Artist & Designer
I designed the mural to span two parallel walls, carefully aligning the horizon line so it reads as one continuous scene from the employee seating area. The mural features a sunset over the ocean with a lone surfer gazing at the waves; a personal reference to a sunset photoshoot I did at Sunset Cliffs with friends. The colors, composition, and playful details reflect my signature style: bold, bright, and full of energy. I carefully planned the layout digitally first, then executed the 350-square-foot piece over weekends, problem-solving challenges like perfecting the ocean splash to get the feeling just right.

Results: A Space that Shines
The mural completely transformed the office. What had been a clean, blank wall now radiates warmth and energy. Employees immediately connected with the piece; one remarked that it brought them so much joy, and visitors stop to take in the sunset and ocean as soon as they walk in. Personally, this was the biggest mural I’ve painted, and it remains one of my proudest projects.

Why This Project Matters:
This mural represents exactly the kind of work I want to continue doing: bringing light, playfulness, and color into spaces, creating moments that people pause to notice and share, and blending my personal perspective with the needs of the space. It’s about creating energy, making people feel something, and turning spaces into experiences.
